LAO-Vietnam Cooperation Committee Office

The Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee Office is a government agency operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Planning and Investment with the Minister of Planning and Investment acting as President of the Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee. The Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee Office is tasked with the comprehensive administration of all affairs pertaining to the cooperation with Vietnam, including the research of policies, strategies and bilateral cooperation between the Lao PDR and the Government of Vietnam with the purpose to ensure the focused and effective mobilization of grants and loans from Vietnam in accordance with the National Socio-Economic Development of the Lao PDR in each period as well as the implementation of strategies, conventions, agreements, ventures and cooperation projects as agreed between the Politburos of both governments. The Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee Office also acts as focal point of coordination regarding the cooperation, monitoring, promotion of investment in areas beneficial to both sides and in accordance with the laws of both countries and the regulations and spirits of friendship between both sides.
